IT Logan
A honeypot platform built for cybersecurity research and education.

IT Logan is a deliberately designed honeypot. It is a decoy IT services surface engineered to attract, observe, and analyse threat actors in a controlled environment. Built for cybersecurity research and educational purposes, it simulates a realistic managed IT brand to study attack patterns, credential stuffing behaviour, and social engineering attempts without exposing real systems or users.
At a glance
IT Logan operates as a honeypot. It is a high-fidelity imitation of a legitimate managed IT services brand, purpose-built to lure and log adversarial behaviour. The surface looks credible enough to attract real threat actors while all interactions are captured in a sandboxed, read-only environment with no live infrastructure behind it.
Purpose
- Observe and document real-world phishing, credential stuffing, and reconnaissance techniques
- Generate labelled attack datasets for cybersecurity training and research
- Demonstrate honeypot design principles in an educational context
- Provide a safe environment for security students to study adversarial behaviour without legal or ethical risk
Disclaimer
This project is a controlled honeypot operated strictly for cybersecurity research and education. No real customer data is collected, no real services are delivered, and all interactions are logged and analysed in an isolated environment.
Have something worth building well?
Whether for a full-time role, a startup venture, or a collaborative project, I take on a select number of engagements each quarter. If you need a senior partner who holds both the architecture and the implementation in the same head, let's build something.
